Medical Report.

I just returned from the doctor. They call my condition: Tendinitis.

I told him my plight. He was compassionate. He shared with me a time last winter when he had this big ski trip planned with his buddies, and when he was out for a jog one day his leg started killing him. It swelled up. He saw a doctor that week, rested it the rest of the week, went on the ski trip, skied three days, rested the last few, rested when he returned home.

He looked at me and told me that I'm a lot younger than he is, and my condition isn't as severe as his was. I should rest for a couple weeks and get back out there, not ride as hard as I did, but give the tendon some time to heal - and with careful cycling "not breaking any speed records". I should be okay.

So that's what I'm going to do. I'm taking two weeks off and monitor the pain. I'm still going to ride. Test hills, etc. If I feel 100% I'll be back on the road.

Just when you were getting good at the video this happens. sumbitch!

Maybe if you brough along a lot of OC's or Perks the knee wouldn't bother you. Well, maybe it would, but you wouldn't care.
Kidding.....

I hope you have a quick recovery and are able to hook up again with the other two. Without your irony and humor, they may run each other off the road.

Take care.

jamie, if you haven't done so already, you should double check with a really good bike specialist to make sure that your bike is properly fit to your body. a lot of repetitive-stress knee injuries happen because the seat is a little high, low, forward, back, your cleats aren't adjusted properly, etc. really small adjustments make a huge difference. recover quickly!
